Davis + Elly * Twin Oaks San Diego Wedding

UGH! I don’t even know where to begin with these two lovebirds. I can confidently say not only are they quite literally two of the sweetest people, alive, but they are also two of the kindest people I’ve ever met. Their wedding was also kind of a blast to shoot too. That doesn’t hurt.

Let’s have some backstory, shall we??

Davis + Elly have been together since the beginning of time, Well, not literally, but you know what I mean. Ever since I’ve known them (which has been many, many years) they’ve been such a solid, loving couple. I knew Davis since he was little, and both of our families go WAYYY back. Elly has always been a part of that family and has been there for Davis through some really tough times.

So when they asked me to photograph their wedding, my response was nothing short of “ABSOLUTELY!”

On their actual wedding day, you could feel the magic in the air. Unfortunately, Davis’ dad passed away some time ago and wasn’t able to attend the wedding, but everyone could feel his presence there. All throughout the day, Davis would just stop, pause, and tear up over the fact that all those people were there for him and Elly. The people who have loved and supported them so much throughout the years were doing once again on their wedding day.

This wedding was the type of wedding where you’re smiling, laughing, crying all throughout the day. The emotions were running so high and the joy was literally palpable! I’ve truthfully never experienced a day like this one.

Together, Davis + Elly have endured things that most adults couldn't’ have even dreamed of going through. I saw them work through stress that would tear most couples apart. But together, they are TRULY unstoppable.

My dudes… thank you so much for asking me to be such a close part of your day. I’m so honored to have a sidelines view of your growth together. Here’s to ALL THE YEARS of happiness along your journey!
