New Years Eve Terranea Resort Wedding in Palos Verdes, California
Mr + Mrs LaBonte. I have no words, which is kind of an anomaly if you know me well. Spending two days ringing in the new year with these two was an experience for the books. One where I got to hear stories from all their friends and family about how naturally perfect these two are together. And not perfect in the sense that life doesn’t challenge them. Perfect in the sense that their individual best qualities are somehow ALWAYS amplified when they’re together.
Olivia + Jimmy. The big hearted, curly haired, blue eyed “goddess” (according to Jimmy) and the twinkly eyed, “sexiest natural athlete” (according to Liv) with the most charming smile. UNSTOPPABLE.
My favorite story of these two was told by Liv’s childhood bestie of the same name… Olivia. I’ll let her tell it, because her words are just too perfect.
“The Jimmy that our Livy loves so much was making his way from Phoenix Sky Harbor International to LAX, dressed as Buddy the Elf - candy canes, stockings and all, to surprise her family for Christmas.
Now, to know Livy is to know she adores a well-done theme and an opportunity to dress up - and here's her guy - not only rocking it but loving it as much as she is. He’s sporting a go-pro on his forehead so we can all tune in as he spreads holiday cheer and then her live-stream starts up - and she’s dressed as Jovie from Elf - stockings, bells, the works, to meet him when he lands. All the way in New York, I have my entire family huddled around a laptop to watch this legendary display of affection.
Huge grins plastered on our faces, I happily announced what we all already knew. That is our girl’s future husband.”
And that’s exactly how they are 24/7. They don’t just meet each other where they are. They freakin’ join in. Whether it’s dressing up as elves in the airport, battling those dark times that get us all, or packing up and moving to another country (yeah… they’re moving to Barcelona any day now!), these two go at it hand in hand, side by side.
Olivia and Jimmy, I’m so excited to watch your adventure together unfold. You bring out the very best in each other, and the future is yours for the taking!
