Holy smokes okay, the SECOND I got the inquiry from this couple, I knew it was a match made in heaven. First of all, this couple wanted to party, and party HARD (which, come on, you know is Honey’s style all the way) so I was already planning out which dancing shoes I was gonna wear. Molly’s request was a lil’ different than most brides, too. She and Johnny wanted to skip most of the “traditional” photos and go straight to snappin’ pics at the reception. I’m talking zero wedding party photos and maybe only 15 minutes max of couple portraits.
You guys, I’m not lying when I say that this was my DREAM WEDDING! Catching you and your boo enjoying your day with your friends and fam? SCORE.
Not only were Molly and Johnny a true partiers at heart, but they also were a badass couple with some killer style. Blue eyeshadow on Molly?? Check. Two sexy slide slits down her Hayley Paige wedding dress?? Check. Sparkly disco boots from Betsey Johnson?? CHECK. Molly, if you’re reading this, I hope you know that I wanna be you when I grow up. And Johnny with that custom embroidered suit in honor of his fave, “Top Gun?” Done. Amazing.
Like most couples in 2020, Molly + Johnny’s wedding wasn’t exactly what they had originally planned out. It was supposed to go down as a luau on the racetracks, butttttt they ended up taking the party to Solvang, California, the cutest lil Danish captial of America, last minute! Oh, and did I mention that their florals were flown in from AFRICA?? Yeah, you heard that right.
If you guys can’t already tell from the photos, Molly + Johnny are like, in love in love. It was so amazing being able to capture their love on their special day, and to see them spend it the way they REALLY wanted to (even if their guests don’t remember it the next morning, HEYOOO). A cute little fun fact: When they had just started dating, Molly went on an extended Europe trip with her cousin, and she literally couldn’t handle being away from Johnny for that long. They texted 24/7 and she ended up cutting the trip (remarkably) short so that Molly could come home and see her man. That’s the kinda love I’m talkin’ about.
Seriously, this wedding was SO MUCH FUN, and if you’re thinking about having a wedding like this, please let us come. We’ll take bomb-ass pictures AND tear it up the dance floor. Just ask Molly… we stayed past contracted hours JUST to dance it up with the amazing 90s cover band, Paging the 90s.
